When Should I Buy My Halloween Costume?

Waiting until the last minute is the number one reason people end up with a costume that doesn't fit, doesn't arrive in time, or isn't what they actually wanted. Here's how to time it right.

The Best Time to Buy: Late September

Late September is the sweet spot. Selection is at its widest, popular sizes haven't sold out yet, and you have enough lead time for standard shipping with room to exchange if something doesn't fit.

Why Earlier Is Better

Popular costumes sell out. Trending styles, licensed characters, and popular sizes go first.
You have time to exchange. Ordering early gives you a buffer to return and reorder before Halloween.
Standard shipping is cheaper. Early orders don't need expensive rush shipping.

October Timeline

October 1-14: Good time to order with standard shipping.
October 15-21: Still fine with standard shipping — order promptly.
October 22-28: Switch to 2-day shipping to be safe.
October 29-30: Overnight shipping only.
