A Street Party to End All: DIY Sesame Street Decorations! Sesame Street Decorations

Everyone knows that when it comes to parties, it's all about the decorations. And if you're planning a birthday bash for your little cookie monster or a neighborhood gathering for the ages, no theme sets the stage for fun quite like Sesame Street.

Sure, you can always click here and buy your Sesame Street decorations, but where's the fun in that? The real magic happens when you put on your creative hat and make your own. So grab your glue gun, roll up your sleeves, and let's get crafty!

Elmo's World of Balloons

No party is complete without balloons! For our first craft, you'll need a pack of red balloons, a black sharpie, and an undying love for Elmo. Simply inflate the balloons and draw Elmo's wide-eyed, open-mouthed face on them. Voila! You've got yourself some floating Elmo heads. If that's not the epitome of party fun, I don't know what is.

Big Bird's Nest Decorative Bowls

What says 'Sesame Street' louder than Big Bird's nest? Nothing, that's what. To create this masterpiece, you'll need a balloon, some old newspaper strips, glue, and yellow feathers. Inflate the balloon, cover it with paper mache (newspaper strips + glue), let it dry, pop the balloon, and stick the feathers on the outside. Congrats, you're now in possession of a Big Bird's nest!

Cookie Monster's Cookie Jar

For this, you'll need a clear jar, blue paint, googly eyes, and of course, cookies! Paint the jar blue, stick on those googly eyes, and fill it with cookies. Just remember to keep count of the cookies in case a certain blue furry creature tries to sneak some out!

Oscar's Trash Can Punch Bowl

Get a new small trash can (please, not the one from your kitchen), and fill it with your favorite party punch. Add a sign that says "Oscar's Punch", and your guests will enjoy drinking from a trash can. Who knew?

Ernie's Rubber Ducky Centerpieces

All you need for this are some small rubber ducks and a few clear glass bowls. Fill the bowls with water, float a few ducks in each one, and place them around your party area. It's Ernie-approved fun!

So there you have it! With a little bit of imagination and elbow grease, these DIY Sesame Street decorations can transform any party into a spectacular Sesame Street extravaganza! Just remember to have fun with it.

And if all else fails, don't fret - our store has an amazing range of Sesame Street decorations ready to save the day. Happy crafting!
